Artist: Anarbor
Album: The Words You Don’t Swallow
Release Date: 2010
I don’t know what it is with these bands toning their sound down so much. The difference between one album from the last is a loss in momentum. The only reason I can think of is possibly the fear of making something that isn’t commercially viable, but after Always Dirty, Never Clean on Free Your Mind, I didn’t think this would be such a concern for Anarbor.
Nevertheless this is a good, catchy album and there is something about it that I love.
Let’s just say, if Youmeatsix, TheAudition, Panic! At the Disco and The Graduate all hooked up, Anarbor would be their love child.
And top marks for the Ukelele chorus in Mr. Big Shot. I love a good Uke.
